Hello, I’m Jenny!
I’ve been a pharmacist for more than 10 years and have worked across retail, not-for-profit, government and pharmaceutical industries.
I’m often told I have a knack for taking complex information and communicating it in an easy-to-understand way. I think this naturally developed from an early age growing up with parents who don’t speak or understand English well so I’d often attend medical appointments with them as their unofficial interpreter.
In this fast-paced age of technology and information, it’s no surprise people are left confused. Regardless of your English skills or level of education, making health decisions for yourself or your family is difficult if the information you have is hard to understand. All the dos, don’ts, shoulds and shouldn’ts drive people round in circles.
Inspired by friends and family, this blog focuses on mums because you’re often making health decisions not only for yourself, but for your children, spouse and ageing parents. You’re key to improving the health skills of the next generation.
This blog will guide you through conception (before you’re pregnant), pregnancy, birth and looking after your baby.
The pregnancy journey is often the first time women are confronted with navigating the health system and the need to process so much health information. So often people leave the GP surgery or pharmacy and all the advice is long-forgotten. Some health professionals don’t help either when speaking medical jibberish and rush through consultations without checking if advice or information is understood.
I’ll get you thinking of the right questions to ask, who to ask and where to find the answers. My goal is to give you the confidence to dive into creating a healthier life and take control.
Let me say how excited I am that you’re here. Why? Because it means you want to improve you and your family’s health and that you’ve trusted me to help make health easier.
I’d love to hear from you so please get in touch.
Healthy Reading,
Jenny
